Job Summary
Store Driver at Advance Auto Parts delivers parts to professional customers and handles returns, while engaging with walk-in customers to assess needs and promote current sales and loyalty programs. Responsibilities include picking, staging, and delivering parts, upselling and cross-selling to increase transaction value, maintaining store cleanliness and stock levels, and operating inventory systems. The role requires safe driving, navigation skills, effective communication with customers and team members, basic math, and the ability to learn about new products and sales techniques.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Experience in automotive parts preferred
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure
- Ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
- English language proficiency; Spanish is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with customers and teammates
- Knowledge of inventory systems and store equipment
