Job Summary
Store Driver for Advance Auto Parts delivering automotive parts to professional customers and walk-in customers. Responsibilities include picking, staging, and safely delivering parts; picking up returns; stocking and maintaining inventory; assisting with upselling and cross-selling to increase average transaction value; promoting sales and loyalty programs; maintaining store cleanliness; engaging customers to identify needs and recommend parts or services; and operating inventory systems. Requires safe driving, ability to use delivery boards, strong communication, and the ability to work varied days/evenings/weekends. Education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent; must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance, and working indoors with occasional outdoor tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- English proficiency (Spanish a plus)
- Willingness to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Knowledge of inventory systems and store equipment
- Automotive parts knowledge preferred
