Job Summary
Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to pro customers while picking up returns, cores, and weekly/monthly sales flyers. Drop off flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs, and build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers by providing insights learned during deliveries. Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value, maintain store cleanliness, and conduct general stocking including truck stocking and cycle counts. Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required. High school diploma or equivalent. Compensation range $16.40 to $17.75 USD per hour. Advance Auto Parts serves both professional installers and do-it-yourself customers across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Required Qualifications
- Speak and write English
- Spanish a plus
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
