Job Summary
Pick, stage, and safely deliver parts to pro customers while collecting credit accounts and dropping off sales flyers. Build relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing insights during deliveries and assisting in upselling to increase average transaction value. Maintain store cleanliness, perform general stocking including truck and back stock, and conduct cycle counts. Engage with walk-in customers to understand needs and recommend appropriate parts or services. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to work evenings and weekends, and experience in automotive parts is preferred. Advance Auto Parts serves both professional installers and do-it-yourself customers across thousands of locations.
Required Qualifications
- Speak and write English
- Spanish a plus
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
- Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
- Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
