Job Summary
Lead the total operation of multiple West Detroit Market stores, including Wixom, Canton, Brighton, and others, while managing team members at all levels to ensure financial success and operational standards. Maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility by analyzing financial data and providing excellent customer service throughout store activities. Mentor and coach all team members to develop future leaders, ensuring the store remains properly staffed with well-trained personnel. Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand while maintaining corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures. This role requires a Store Director or District Manager level professional with at least five years of retail experience and three years in leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or have the equivalent retail experience
- 5 years of retail/service industry experience
- 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports
- Minimum 3 years of retail leadership experience with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience
- Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue (through single or multi-unit responsibility)
- Position may require lifting, carrying, and other physical acts
