Job Summary
Lead the store team to maximize customer experience and business results through swimming lessons, aquatics programming, and scuba instruction. Direct operations including safe facility management, class scheduling, equipment sales, inventory control, and the rental program. Manage two salaried assistants, swim staff, retail salespeople, and contracted dive professionals while driving customer acquisition, conversion, and retention. Collaborate with enterprise Store Support to develop new professionals and ensure succession planning. Maintain industry safety and training standards as a certified pool operator and diver. Report to the General Manager to optimize income and profit generation across the business unit.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable relevant experience in the successful leading of customer-focused teams: prospecting, recruiting, interviewing, selection, training, performance coaching, performance management, succession planning and separation
- Successful sales leadership experience across varied media: in-person, over the phone, and in writing (email, letters, etc.)
- Experience in efficient resource and financial management: revenue, margin, payroll, expenses
- Scuba, Aquatics, Certified Pool Operators, lifeguard, and/or dive professional experience or a strong desire to learn those competencies
