Job Summary
Provide auto parts answers and solutions for customers at the counter or over the phone, helping customers find the right parts and assisting other team members with questions. Welcome customers into the store, deliver a positive retail experience, and use a computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog to assist with orders. Background in automotive parts or hands-on automotive work is preferred; willingness to learn all things auto parts is essential. Emphasizes customer-centric service, fast-paced environment, and opportunities for career growth within a large auto parts network. ASE certifications are a plus. The role is described as suitable for full-time or part-time engagement, with emphasis on customer-facing interaction and parts knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts
- Technical or Trade school courses or degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Love fast paced retail environments
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers
- ASE Certifications (a plus)
- Knowledge of cataloging AND/OR inventory management systems (a plus)
