Job Summary
As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are looked at as the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person as customers enter our retail stores for automotive needs. Provide auto parts answers and solutions in person at the counter or over the phone, use your parts knowledge to assist other team members, deliver outstanding customer care, welcome customers into the store, engage to provide a positive experience, and operate a computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system. This role is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers with auto parts questions, has experience in the automotive industry or a hands-on interest in cars, and is eager to learn and grow within a Fortune 200 company with strong benefits and development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or willingness to learn all things auto parts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Love fast paced retail environments
- Background and/or passion for automotive industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems (a plus)
- ASE Certifications (a plus)
