Job Summary
As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you will be the face of the retail store, helping customers at the counter or over the phone with auto parts questions. You’ll use your parts knowledge to provide solutions, assist other team members, and deliver outstanding customer care to both retail and wholesale customers. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with automotive parts needs, using a computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system, and contributing to a positive consumer experience in a fast-paced store. Candidates should have either automotive industry experience or a hands-on interest in cars/trucks, a willingness to learn all things auto parts, and strong communication and listening skills. Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry or willingness to learn automotive parts
- High School Diploma or GED
- Technical or Trade school courses or degree (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Love for fast-paced retail environments
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers
- Knowledge of cataloging AND/OR inventory management systems is a plus
- ASE Certifications (a plus)
