Job Summary
Store Clerk responsibilities include operating a cash register, performing checkout procedures efficiently, handling cash and payment methods (EBT, debit, credit, WIC, gift cards, checks), stocking perishable and grocery items, unloading deliveries, maintaining clean and organized shelves and fixtures, providing excellent customer service, and assisting in training other team members. The role requires basic math, English communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety and company policies, with flexibility to work various shifts and locations within the store. This position supports store operations across grocery, meat, produce, and fresh departments while upholding company standards and helping maintain a positive shopping environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proven, efficient retail sales experience; experience in dry grocery, perishable, meat, general grocery, cash management and excellent customer service preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
- Proficiency in basic math skills
- Must be dependable and flexible to work scheduled shifts
- Must adhere to safety standards
- Must adhere to a uniform dress code
