Job Summary
Receive donations from donors, issue receipts, and greet customers with a courteous, friendly attitude. Sort, box, and label hangers by type; rotate stock on a timely basis and place merchandise on textile racks and shelves per established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and safety of the sales floor and production area; watch for shoplifting and notify management of suspicious activity. Answer telephone calls using established etiquette and refer customer complaints to management. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager. Regularly lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. Standing, walking, and stooping required.
Required Qualifications
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull
- Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove garments from containers
- Employment may be contingent upon Goodwill Industries of Central Florida receipt of an acceptable and job-related drug test, motor vehicle report, and/or reference check
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent is preferred
- Previous retail experience is highly preferred
- Beginner knowledge of the Internet and the ability look up information
