Job Summary
Receive donations from donors and issue receipts, then sort, box, and label hangers by type. Place processed items in proper areas on the sales floor, rotate stock, and present merchandise on racks and shelves per established procedures. Greet customers with a courteous attitude, direct them to appropriate areas, and provide general information while maintaining a clean, safe environment. Stay alert for shoplifting and notify management of suspicious activity. React calmly to emergency situations and refer customer complaints to management. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull
- Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove garments from containers
- Acceptable and job-related drug test
- Motor vehicle report
- Reference check
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Previous retail experience
- Beginner knowledge of the Internet and the ability look up information
