Job Summary
Receive donations from donors and issue receipts while maintaining a clean, safe sales floor. Sort, box, and label hangers by type; rotate stock and merchandise on textile racks per established procedures. Greet customers courteously, direct them to proper areas, and answer telephone inquiries promptly. Monitor for shoplifting and notify management of suspicious activity. React calmly to emergency situations and refer customer complaints to management. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull
- Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove garments from containers
- Acceptable and job-related drug test
- Motor vehicle report
- Reference check
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Previous retail experience
- Beginner knowledge of the Internet and the ability look up information
