Job Summary
Receive donations from donors, issue receipts, and rotate stock on textile racks per established procedures. Sort, box, and label hangers by type while maintaining sales floor cleanliness and safety. Greet customers, direct them to proper areas, and provide prompt, efficient service. Stay alert for shoplifting, report suspicious activity to management, and respond calmly to emergency situations. Refer customer complaints to management and answer telephone calls using established etiquette. Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull
- Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove garments from containers
- Employment may be contingent upon Goodwill Industries of Central Florida receipt of an acceptable and job-related drug test, motor vehicle report, and/or reference check
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent is preferred
- Previous retail experience is highly preferred
- beginner knowledge of the Internet and the ability look up information
