Job Summary
Greet customers with a courteous attitude, ring up all sales transactions, and ensure accurate change and receipts are provided. Direct patrons to the proper areas, answer telephone calls using established etiquette, and assist sales floor employees with stocking and recovery. Maintain a clean and orderly register area while strictly following policies for cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and the change Round Up program. This role requires standing and walking for long periods, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 40 pounds occasionally, and possesses basic computer skills and touch screen register knowledge. Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull
Desired Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Previous retail and/or cashiering experience
- Basic computer skills
- Beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers
