Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service at a GOODWILL store checkout, greet customers, and assist with purchases. Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately and efficiently to ensure a positive shopping experience. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restock supplies, and assist with inventory management including receiving and stocking merchandise. Communicate store policies, promotions, and services to customers; resolve issues professionally. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals while adhering to safety and security procedures. Participate in training to enhance performance and contribute to the organization’s mission.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred
- Experience handling cash transactions and operating a cash register
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move merchandise
- Dependability and punctuality
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
