Job Summary
Store Associate at The Salvation Army Thrift Store supporting retail operations in Canada. Responsibilities include greeting customers and donors, providing friendly service, assisting with pricing and inventory, processing cash and debit transactions with accuracy, handling donations (sorting, packing, hanging, and displaying), maintaining store cleanliness and safety, contributing to store displays and layout, preventing loss through attention to policy and procedures, and supporting health and safety compliance. Required Qualifications
- Completion of some high school course work
- Few months of experience in processing or distribution of goods or customer service
- Cash handling experience
- Experience with cash registers and related processes (bank deposits, summary reports)
- Knowledge of lifting guidelines
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 29 lbs
- Ability to undergo background checks satisfactory to The Salvation Army
