Job Summary
Store Assistant duties include assisting the Store Manager with oversight of operations, hiring and supervising staff, bookkeeping and merchandising, maintaining high standards and fast, friendly service, and ensuring consistent onsite attendance. The role requires leading a team, recruiting and interviewing staff, delegating tasks, planning and organizing, effective communication, cash-handling and basic bookkeeping, problem solving, and upholding safety and security. Experience in retail or supervisory roles, plus familiarity with food programs and compliance processes (e.g., E-Verify) is beneficial. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or College Degree(s) preferred
- Retail experience a plus
- Supervisor or management experience preferred
- Recruiting/hiring/interviewing skills
- Experience handling food
- Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours
- Lift up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Strong leadership and customer service skills
