Job Summary
Conduct store physical security checks, maintain the employee entrance, and track delivered packages to reduce shortages. Perform figure 8 patrols throughout the sales floor while providing a visual presence at the entrance/exit with courteous customer interactions. Conduct safety inspections, communicate hazards to management, and ensure all employees follow policies and procedures under the General Manager's guidance. Maintain general product knowledge in key departmental areas and communicate effectively with staff and management levels. Requires 1-2 years of retail loss prevention experience, ability to stand or walk for 8 hours, and lifting 20lbs. Work nights and weekends as needed for retail business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff and management
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 2 years or retail Loss Prevention experience
- Basic understanding of retail or security
- Ability to work nights and weekends appropriately to retail business needs
- Must be able to stand / walk sales floor for 8 hours at a time
- Must be able to lift and carry 20lbs
- Regular time and attendance
- Ability to work Independently
- Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure
- Has general product knowledge in key departmental areas
