Job Summary

Design, deploy, and sustain enterprise storage and network-attached storage solutions in classified and unclassified environments while providing Tier 3 engineering support. Engineer and manage storage allocation, capacity planning, replication strategies, and patching to ensure high availability and data integrity. Troubleshoot complex issues, restore enterprise-wide failures, and perform data recovery operations to maintain mission availability. Monitor performance and utilization to prevent outages, then provide technical recommendations for upgrades and life cycle improvements. Support project integration, migrations, and modernization initiatives in compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community standards. Requires Top Secret/SCI clearance, 8+ years of DoD/IC experience, and ability to work after-hours on-call.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
  • 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise storage environments within the Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Network-Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Data replication, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience troubleshooting complex storage, replication, and performance issues across Wide Area Network (WAN) environments
  • Familiarity with Patch management and system updates, High-availability and fault-tolerant storage architectures, and Disaster recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning
  • Experience analyzing storage performance issues and implementing optimization solutions
  • Experience providing Tier 3 engineering support and mentoring junior technical staff
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or Intelligence Community storage environments
  • Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical environments
  • Ability to support after-hours, on-call, or emergency operations as required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner
  • Must be able to lift up to thirty pounds, as necessary

Desired Qualifications

  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA – ONTAP) or equivalent storage certification
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
  • Vendor-specific storage or virtualization certifications (Dell EMC, VMware, etc.)
