Shape stone using chisels and power saws, align blocks with a plumbline, and finish joints with a pointing trowel. Fasten brick or building materials to structures with wire clamps, anchors, torch, or cement. Mix and spread mortar over stone and foundations, setting masonry in place by hand or with a forklift or crane. Participate in daily huddles and prioritize safety on all job sites. This journeyman role requires above-average skill and speed in laying stone, with no supervisory responsibilities. Minimum of five years in construction or masonry experience.
