Job Summary
Transport clean and dirty linens, deliver supplies, and manage trash disposal while assisting Room Attendants with bed stripping and linen sorting. Conduct storage closet inventories, restock supplies, and maintain the houseman closet as organized and trash-free. Deliver items to rooms per guest requests, pick up items from previous guests, and keep floors clear of debris and spills. Use provided chemicals per safety directions, wear PPE, and report hazardous conditions to management. Document and secure lost and found items, report property damage, and communicate professionally with guests. Requires radio and tablet use; completes daily checklists and manages inventory in accordance with company policy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to act independently with little supervision
