Job Summary
Serve customers promptly and efficiently while maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised yard environment. Check and process incoming and outgoing goods, load and unload vehicles safely, and prepare consignments for dispatch. Operate belt equipment for sheet cutting and assist with general yard and office duties as required. Follow strict health and safety guidelines, wear appropriate PPE, and keep accurate records. Hold a full UK driving license and counterbalance forklift licence; physically fit for outdoor work with manual handling experience. Permanent full-time role, 08:00–16:00, Mon–Fri, with start date late August or early September.
Required Qualifications
- Full UK Driving License
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence (valid & in date, although training/refreshers can be given)
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Able to follow instructions and keep accurate records
- Manual Handling experience
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety best practices
- Familiarity with safe use of PPE
- Experience in a similar role or industrial/yard setting
Desired Qualifications
- Abrasive Wheels Certificate (Desirable)
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office 365 (email & Microsoft Word)
