Job Summary
Organize and manage back stock daily, replenishing product on shelves and in back stock per merchandising guidelines. Unload trucks as needed and assist with pricing maintenance and signing. Maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area while ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. Remain knowledgeable of advertised sales and plan-o-grams through ongoing product training. Perform all other duties as assigned under general supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, co-workers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes
- Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods
- Must be able to repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or power tools
- Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to move objects up to 100 pounds or more
- Must be able to work in tight and confined spaces
- Must be able to work in low or high temperatures
- Must be able to work in outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
- Must be able to work in noisy environments
- Must be able to work in hazardous conditions
- Must be able to work in small and/or enclosed spaces
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
