Job Summary
Stocking Associate responsible for merchandising stocking duties in Receiving and on the Sales Floor, including organizing back stock, replenishing shelves, unloading trucks when needed, and maintaining product knowledge to support customer service and promotions. Must read UPC codes, participate in pricing maintenance and signing, and adhere to store policies while contributing to a clean and well-stocked environment. Part-time role with physical requirements and opportunity to leverage discounts and benefits. Bass Pro Shops/Cabela's emphasis on equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes
- Customer service friendliness and professionalism
- Effective communication with management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships
- Physical ability to move, lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds (and sometimes up to 100 pounds)
- Comfort with standing, walking for long periods, and repetitive motions
- Ability to work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, weather conditions)
