Job Summary
Unload trucks, open containers, stock shelves, and rotate product to ensure freshness while monitoring for mis-picked items and reporting issues. Greet customers warmly, assist with finding products, carrying heavy purchases, and passing feedback to the team. Organize stock for efficiency, clean and restock damaged items, tag shelves, and operate the register as needed. Perform outside maintenance like shoveling snow and spreading ice melt, plus clean registers, restrooms, and backrooms. Train new stockers on job duties and assist with special projects as directed by store management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with confidence
- Ability to use basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and teammates
- Ability to stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy store environment
- Ability to frequently stand and walk throughout a shift
- Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
- Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
