Job Summary
Verify trucks are loaded and secured per DOT standards, then unload, protect, move, and stage materials as specified by customer directive. Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment by following all OSHA requirements, using proper lifting techniques, and wearing appropriate PPE including safety shoes. Frequently drive or sit in trucks, forklifts, or similar equipment for multiple hours daily, pushing, pulling, and lifting building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds while utilizing proper lifting procedures. Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories when required. - Ability to frequently push, pull, lift or carry building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds, using proper lifting procedures
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, lift or carry greater weights
- Ability to push and pull carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces
- Ability to perform some functions as a team
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
- Ability to follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
- Ability to use proper lifting techniques
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
