Job Summary
Conduct daily store operations, including opening/closing, inventory accuracy, and shipment processing to ensure merchandise is available and organized. Assist customers with product knowledge, drive sales during high-traffic periods, and support the sales team with order fulfillment and pickup readiness. Lead back-of-house activities such as receiving, staging, and moving furniture while maintaining visual standards and brand safety. Monitor inventory discrepancies, resolve issues with leadership, and adapt to changing business priorities. Lift up to 100 lbs, operate pallet jacks, and work extended shifts including weekends and holidays. Collaborate with Store Leadership and Supply Chain partners to solve operational challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- 3-5 years of experience in a retail, inventory, warehouse, fulfillment, or stock leadership role
- Experience leading inventory, shipment, fulfillment, or product flow operations in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while coaching and directing others
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deliver results
- Must regularly work during high-traffic and delivery periods, mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak selling times to ensure you capitalize on inventory fulfillment
- Ability to utilize technology to support inventory management, fulfillment, communication, and operational processes
- Must be able to travel, as required by the Company in its sole discretion, to local stores, third-party vendors and for occasional meetings using various forms of transportation
- Demonstrate excellent judgment, integrity, and trustworthiness in managing financial transactions, handling sensitive business and customer data, customer privacy and ensuring the comfort and safety of persons and property
- Effective communication skills and ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner
- Must be able to safely load, unload, stage, move, and assemble furniture products with or without assistance
- Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 lbs
- Candidates must be able to assemble and disassemble furniture while working on the selling floor
- Candidates must be able to safely operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other moving equipment
- Must be able to safely move objects (including medium to large furniture items) from a lower to a higher position or horizontally from position-to-position
- Must constantly stand and/or walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
- Must regularly perform actions including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, stooping, crawling, and climbing
