Job Summary
Stock Condition Surveyor responsible for managing and undertaking stock condition surveys across the Council’s housing portfolio, ensuring accurate assessment of property condition, lifecycles, and repair needs; maintaining and validating data within the asset management system; carrying out HHSRS inspections and wider health and safety surveys (asbestos, fire safety, gas safety, legionella, damp & mould); overseeing external consultants; producing reports to inform planned and cyclical maintenance programmes; engaging with residents, contractors, and internal teams to support access, resolve issues, and ensure data integrity. The role supports a large annual housing investment budget and may involve EPC surveying with training, plus contributing to broader service-wide improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant building surveying, asset management, or construction-related qualification (e.g., NVQ, ONC, Degree)
- CPD in property management or related disciplines
