Job Summary
Greet customers with eye contact and a smile, assist shoppers with merchandise, and answer questions politely while greeting every customer throughout the store. Maintain a clutter-free sales floor, sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect high-touch areas including the front-end and restrooms to ensure a clean environment. Perform daily assigned sizing and recovery, expedit newly received merchandise to the sales floor, and follow Mark-Out-of-Stock policies for proper disposal. Process cash, check, and charge card transactions accurately, handle refunds and voids, and safeguard confidential information and merchandise. Monitor the sales floor for safety hazards, correct unsafe conditions immediately, and report any issues to Store Leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers and PC as required
- Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the Store
- Ability to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
- Ability to occasionally push, pull and lift more than 25 pounds
- Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders and other assigned supplies
- Ability to regularly push, pull and lift more than 20 pounds
- Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative and pleasant manner
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
