Job Summary
Scan shipments as delivered and ticket, stock, and log merchandise in the stockroom or prepare items for immediate distribution. Maintain inventory records, organize stock by department and categories, and ensure aisles and exits remain clear. Transport merchandise to and from remote locations, pack goods for customer deliveries, and keep the stockroom clean with garbage removed. Assist the sales team in replenishing the sales floor after shipments or during recovery periods, and complete daily tasks including maintenance, lighting, and cleaning as assigned. Part-time Flex associates must be available for two weekend shifts and two weekday shifts, with greater availability required for 20+ hours weekly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years customer service experience
- stockroom (or related work.) experience
- Ability to lift and carry medium-to-large items, weighing up to 100 lbs., utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Ability to be mobile in the stockroom or on sales floor for extended periods of time
- Proven ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Ability to operate POS system
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business
- Part-Time Flex associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday)
- Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday)
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Ensure all appropriate stockroom procedures are followed to minimize loss to the company
