Job Summary
Provide direct daily living assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, meal assistance, and helping with eating; assist with mobility and transfers such as lifting clients into beds, wheelchairs, and exam tables; monitor and take vital signs; inspect for injuries or issues and collect information from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family; assist with hygiene and sanitation (including bedpan use) and maintain clean patient areas; stay up-to-date with STNA training, policies, and procedures; communicate effectively with clients and care teams in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved STNA certification training course
- Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Good communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personality
- Up-to-date identification
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent personal hygiene
