Job Summary
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) position (Part Time) at Brookside Healthcare Center in Cincinnati, OH. Responsibilities include providing routine nursing and personal care to residents per their care plans, participating in shift handoffs, facilitating activities, responding to resident needs, maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with meals, maintaining documentation of daily living activities, restorative programs, and resident-specific forms, and adhering to policies, procedures, and infection control standards. Requires completion of a Nurse Aide training program or eligible to enter and pass state tests within 120 days; high school diploma or GED; strong interpersonal skills, compassionate demeanor, ability to work with a team, and the capacity to make independent decisions as needed. Competitive wages (up to $24/hour with weekend premium up to $25/hour, daily pay option, benefits and tuition reimbursement) with both part-time and full-time opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or be eligible to enter such a program and graduate and pass a state test within 120 days from date of employment
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public
- Willingness and ability to learn and incorporate new nursing practices
- Compassionate and enthusiastic personality
