Job Summary
Provide routine daily nursing care to assigned residents in accordance with care plans; perform resident assistance with daily activities, measurement/recording of vital signs, and documentation; monitor resident condition, report changes to Charge Nurse, ensure safety and comfort, and maintain a calm, warm environment. Adhere to infection control, privacy, and facility policies; assist with transfers, meals, and restorative activities as directed; ensure proper identification of residents, accurate record-keeping, and proper use of equipment. Maintain resident rooms and equipment, participate in shift handoffs, and support interdepartmental teams to meet resident needs. Must be a licensed CNA in the state and meet physical demands of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under applicable state laws
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees
- Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- CPR certification preferred or required per facility policy
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- CPR certification
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Experience with assessing and caring for residents
- Knowledge of resident care plans and charting
