Job Summary
Conduct bedside care for patients and families at Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care, serving as the eyes and ears of the interdisciplinary team during deeply vulnerable moments. Provide comfort and meaning to individuals in their final moments, ensuring dignity and respect regardless of economic factors. Maintain active, unrestricted aide certification with 75 hours of Ohio State Department of Health competency testing and one year of current hospice or nurses aide experience. Utilize electronic clinical record systems and operate a reliable vehicle to travel to the Green, OH office daily. Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM as part of a team committed to growing into varied roles and setting the industry bar for standard of care.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed an Ohio State Department of Health Competency Test from an accredited program with a minimum requirement of 75 hours of certification
- Must be certified by the state as a nurses' aide with an unrestricted, active aide certification
- 1 year of current experience as a Hospice Aide or Nurses Aide
- Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors
- Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to required clinical software and electronic clinical record utilization
- Must have reliable vehicle/transportation
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have required automobile insurance
- Must have the ability to safely and independently operate said vehicle
- Travel to the office in Green, OH is required
