Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while monitoring vital signs and reporting changes in physical or behavioral conditions. Measure temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration as directed by nursing staff, document care provided in the electronic health record, and maintain records of intake, output, and toileting habits. Ensure resident safety by adhering to infection control guidelines, practicing proper hand hygiene, and using personal protective equipment as required. Provide compassionate emotional support, engage residents in social and recreational activities, and participate in care plan meetings to promote their independence and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to follow care instructions
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
