Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility transfers. Monitor vital signs, document care in electronic health records, and report changes in residents' physical or behavioral conditions to nursing staff. Ensure resident safety by adhering to infection control guidelines, maintaining a clean environment, and practicing proper hand hygiene. Provide emotional support, engage residents in social activities, and participate in care plan meetings. Work collaboratively with nursing staff and therapists to promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to follow care instructions
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
