Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility transfers. Monitor and record vital signs, skin conditions, and intake/output while accurately documenting care in the electronic health record. Report changes in residents' physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions to the supervising nurse and adhere to infection control protocols. Provide compassionate emotional support, facilitate social activities, and collaborate with nursing staff and therapists to ensure comprehensive resident care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to follow care instructions
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
