Job Summary
STNA Afternoons: Provide essential resident care in a long-term care/assisted living facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene), support mobility (turning, transferring, ambulating with assistive devices), and help with meals to ensure proper nutrition and hydration. Monitor changes in residents’ condition, record vital signs, monitor skin integrity, and assist with weight checks and intake/output. Document care in the facility’s EHR or charts, report concerns to the supervising nurse, and maintain safety and comfort by following infection control protocols and using PPE. Offer emotional support, promote dignity and independence, and engage residents in social/therapeutic activities. Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans and assist with transportation within the facility as needed. Education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent; Certification: current STNA. New graduates welcome; strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail skills emphasized.
