Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while supporting mobility through turning, positioning, and ambulation. Measure and record vital signs, monitor skin conditions, and document all care provided in the facility's electronic health record. Ensure resident safety by adhering to infection control guidelines, maintaining a clean environment, and practicing proper hand hygiene with PPE. Provide emotional support, engage residents in social activities, and collaborate with nursing staff to participate in care plan meetings. Report changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral conditions immediately to supervising nurses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification: Current and active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Ability to follow care instructions
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living setting
