Job Summary
Oversee temporary traffic management plans, including the setup and pack-down of road closures and diversions. Lead toolbox and closure briefings with crew to provide clear job details and expectations to Traffic Management Officers. Train and upskill Traffic Controllers and junior STMS personnel while ensuring the safety of Downer crew, subbies, and the general public. Requires STMS Cat A/B/C practicing warrants, a Class 1 NZ Driver's licence, and strong leadership skills. Based in Penrose, Auckland.
Required Qualifications
- STMS Cat A/B/C Practicing warrants or unit standards
- Class 1 Full New Zealand Driver's licence
- Reliability
- Problem solving abilities
- People skills
- Commitment and confidence to maintain safe work practices
- Willing and able to train and upskill our Traffic Controllers and junior STMS'
- Ensure the safety of the Downer crew, subbies, and the general public
- Confident leading toolbox and closure briefings with crew
- Provide clear job details and expectations to TMO's
- Ensure the accurate following of temporary traffic management plans
- Oversee set up and pack down of road closures and diversions
- Available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
