Stitcher-Ink Jet Operator

Job Summary
Set up, operate and maintain the Ink Jet Stitcher while meeting quality and production goals. Other duties include, but are not limited to setting up, operation, repair and maintenance of Saddle Stitcher and Ink Jet System; reviewing job tickets, ordering material, completing production runs and documenting finished quantities; coordinating training of assistant operators and crew; maintaining quality and productivity standards; following safety policies and procedures; proper handling of hazardous waste; performing other duties as assigned; must be dependable, troubleshoot machine malfunctions, lift up to 50 pounds, work overtime, and endure 12-hour shifts in a front-half-day Sunday–Tuesday schedule with 7a–7p shifts. The role is in Sheridan, OH within a CJK Group printing operation offering paid training, benefits, and career advancement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations
- Must be able to troubleshoot when the machine malfunctions
- Must work well with others
- Must be flexible and open to change when needed
- Must have the ability to follow instructions
- Must be a proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed
- The ability to work 12-hour shifts
- Shift: Front Half Day (FHD) Sunday – Tuesday and e/o Wednesday 7a – 7p
- Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2-year bindery experience
- Basic small packaging knowledge
- Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing, bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting, lift up to 50 pounds
