Job Summary
Cement, ply rib, and rough insoles to specification, ensuring uniform adhesive application and precise surface preparation for strong bonds. Verify tack placement in the welt and inspect your own work before release, as defects here cause failures downstream at Bottoming or in customer hands. Operate in ventilated cement areas while wearing required protective equipment, including respirators, eye protection, and steel-toe footwear. Stand for the full shift on a concrete floor with occasional lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent lifting up to 20 pounds. No prior experience required; training provided for adhesives and solvent-based chemistry. Performance measured by units prepared per shift and bond failure rates.
