Job Summary
The Boston Public Schools is seeking an exceptional educator for the BPS Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure (MTEL) Prep Course Instructor role, focusing on coaching educators to enhance content knowledge and test-taking skills for the Early Childhood MTEL exam. Required Qualifications
- 10+ years teaching experience
- Professional status in BPS
- Experience as a teacher or instructional coach in early education settings, foundational reading
- Prior experience instructing or coaching adult learners
- Deep knowledge of MTEL exams, especially the test of instruction
- Demonstrated commitment to equity
- Strong content knowledge in the content area of test instruction
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual or biliterate
- Experience teaching ESL, SLIFE, or other language acquisition classrooms and spaces
- Demonstrated success in MTEL prep course instruction
