Job Summary
Stihl Service Technician responsible for diagnosing problems and performing maintenance/repairs on STIHL units sold at Ace Hardware of Newport. Requires ability to diagnose quickly, explain findings to customers, look up/order parts, file warranty claims, maintain inventory, install/repair equipment, repair small engines (chainsaws, trimmers, blowers), and provide excellent customer service. Must attain Bronze/Silver/Gold STIHL technician certifications, work onsite in Knoxville, and support store operations, including customer contracts, invoices, and training peers. Bilingual Spanish a plus; on-site hours and adherence to safety standards expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- GOLD Technician status with STIHL; computer-based training and STIHL-sponsored training
- Exceptional customer service
- Ability to use computer, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
