Job Summary
Enforce company policies with Superintendents and oversee the enforcement of all Safety, Company, and Client policies and procedures. Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources while supervising field execution to maximize quality and maintain safe working environments. Conduct daily "tail-gate" safety meetings, communicate with the Director of Operations, and assist in selecting and developing field personnel. Manage costs for each project, support planning and estimating staff, and pursue new methods to shorten schedules without sacrificing quality standards. Perform other related duties as assigned in a petrochemical/refinery environment with extensive travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 7 years of managerial experience
- 5 years of supervisory experience in related industry
- Class A driver's license
- Clean MVR
- Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit and lift more than 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist, using the lower extremities and back muscles and moving on foot, particularly for long distances
- Must be able to pass all required drug/alcohol testing and background requirements
- Must be able to successfully pass a pulmonary function test (PFT)
- Must be able to be fit tested for the various respirators used
- Must be able to wear protecting hearing equipment
- Must be able to use a respirator
- Must be able to read, write and understand communication including directions, instructions and warning signs
- Must be able to understand and articulate mechanical concepts (i.e. drawings)
- Must be able to hold daily tail-gate safety meetings at the beginning of each shift
- Must be able to follow all Company Safety, Quality Control/ Quality Assurance procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Must be able to enforce Company policies with Superintendents
- Must be able to communicate with Director of Operations as requested to ensure timeliness of project and attend meetings as necessary with Operations and Client
- Must be able to oversee the enforcement of all Safety, Company and Client policies and procedures
- Must be able to focus on completing projects in a quality manner showing the Company's overall commitment to high standards
- Must be able to manage costs for each project
- Must be able to manage multiple projects, tasks and resources
- Must be able to continually evaluate the use of full-time and project-based personnel
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent relational skills with customer, sub-contractors and subordinates
- Must be able to pursue the use of new methods and technologies in an effort to shorten schedules and increase profits without sacrificing quality standards
- Must be able to maintain poise and focus under time constraint
- Must be able to attend and complete trainings as required by the Company and client
- Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned
- Must be able to work in a petrochemical / refinery environment
- Must be able to work in cold working conditions during winter months
- Must be able to work in hot working conditions during the summer months
- Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to noise
- Must be able to work in an environment where hazardous chemicals may occur in an emergency situation
- Must be able to work full-time
- Must be able to work variable/ project dependent days and hours
- Must be able to work over-time as job duties demand
- Must be able to travel extensively throughout U.S.
- Must be able to stay overnight for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- 10 years of managerial experience
- 5 years of supervisory experience in related industry
- First Aid and CPR trained
