• •Must be able to maintain poise and focus under time constraint and adverse conditions
• •Must be able to maintain constant means of communication
• •Must be able to maintain safe working environment while performing work in the client's facilities
• •Must be able to maintain communication with Supervisor while performing tasks
• •Must be able to check the permit to ensure completion and accuracy before allowing hot work to begin
• •Must be able to make sure the area is free of trash and other combustibles
• •Must be able to monitor the area with an LEL monitor before allowing hot work to begin
• •Must be able to make sure all drains are covered
• •Must be able to maintain a barricade if required
• •Must be able to have a fire extinguisher and/or charged water hose before allowing work to begin
• •Must be able to monitor the combustible source of the hot work to ensure it is not in danger of causing a fire
• •Must be able to maintain spark containment if required
• •Must be able to monitor the surrounding area to ensure there are no hazardous conditions that could harm the workers performing hot work
• •Must be able to immediately evacuate the workers should a hazardous condition occur within the vicinity of the hot work area
• •Must be able to immediately contact the rescue team/fire brigade should a worker become injured or should a fire occur
• •Must be able to monitor the expiration time of the permit and stop the work should the permit expire
• •Must be able to ensure no smoldering sparks can create fire after hot work is complete
• •Must be able to inspect entire work area and look for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids before and during each shift
• •Must be able to attend and complete trainings as required by the Company and client
• •Must be able to work in a petrochemical / refinery environment
• •Must be able to work in cold working conditions during winter months
• •Must be able to work in hot working conditions during the summer months
• •Must be able to work in noisy environments
• •Must be able to work in emergency situations
• •Must be able to work overtime
• •Must be able to travel throughout U.S.
• •Must be able to stay overnight for extended periods of time
• •Must be able to work variable/ project dependent days and hours
• •Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned
