Job Summary
Operate dish-washing equipment to ensure china, glass, and silver are cleaned thoroughly and sanitized. Wash pots, pans, and kitchen utensils following proper procedures, then replace clean items in their storage locations to minimize breakage. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, back dock, dumpster area, and floors by sweeping, mopping, and emptying garbage from food and beverage zones. Assist kitchen staff in maintaining storage areas and ensure proper food storage and rotation. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager. This role supports the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, which offers in-room massages, on-site dining, and an indoor heated pool.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
