Job Summary
The Stewardship Coordinator role supports grant development, gift processing, and planned giving to advance the ministry and donor stewardship. Responsibilities include completing donor stewardship reports, assisting with grant billing, processing gifts (checks, wire transfers, ACH, stocks, donor-advised funds, IRA, deposits), applying donation coding in Every Action, issuing receipts and year-end statements, cross-training across gift processing functions, and collaborating with Finance and Advancement teams to resolve donation-related challenges. The position also supports planned giving activities (noting interest in Every Action, sending appreciation letters) and attends required meetings. It is an on-site, non-hybrid role with emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, effective cross-team communication, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment. Strong emphasis on faith-based mission alignment, a Christ-centered attitude, and adherence to SRM’s Statement of Faith and Core Values. The role may involve driving duties with a valid license and a clean driving record if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- College degree or equivalent desired
- Prior experience with state, federal, and/or private grants desired, but not required
- Data tracking experience highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office
- High comfort level in working in an autonomous office setting
- Collective and/or collaborative problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance, and/or clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years when driving on behalf of the company
