Job Summary
Direct and assist stewards in cleaning efficiency, ensuring water temperatures and chemical levels remain appropriate while documenting sanitation procedures. Operate dishwashing machines, scrub stations, and trash compactors, maintaining equipment and organizing supplies. Assist cooks with tasks, support banquet operations, and transport stock to ensure adequate coverage. Mentor hourly employees on job roles, responsibilities, and technical standards; assign tasks, evaluate performance, and coach staff toward continuous improvement. Monitor adherence to safety policies, report accidents, and address unsafe conditions immediately. Welcome guests with professional greetings, address service needs, and maintain positive working relationships across departments to achieve common goals.
Required Qualifications
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
